The installation comprises a sleeve or holster (9) which is attached to the side of the petrol dispensing pump (1). This sleeve is a close fit around the petrol distributor gun (8) and is made from a material not affected by the petrol. The lower end or outlet (10) from the sleeve is directed into the pump unit (3) drawing petrol from the main tank (4). Drips from the gun, stored with its nozzle downwards when not in use, are recovered for latter use by passing through a flame trap filter (12) to enter the pump unit.
