<p>1467558 Dressing grinding wheels WERKZEUGMASCHINENKOMBINAT "7 OKTOBER" VEB 16 Jan 1976 [31 Jan 1975] 01730/76 Heading B3D A method of compensating dressing diamond wear and of re-setting the grinding tool 6 to the position of the diamond 5 is characterized in that the position of a dressing diamond holder 4 set up on the grinding machine for a zero dimension 7, to be ground is kept constant by way of a rigid connection of the holder with the workpiece 1 and that the path of rapid infeed 9, 8 of the tool is varied 10, 8 by fine adjusting means in the infeed mechanism of the machine. In apparatus for carrying out the method, the workpiece 1 is clamped in a chuck 2 of a headstock 3 rigid, in the plane of infeed of the grinding tool 6, with the holder 4 of the dressing diamond 5 which is thus held at a constant position 11. The grinding tool is dressed by the diamond 5 and has a rapid infeed from the dressing position 9 to the start of the grinding infeed 8, which continues to the zero diamension line 7 at a constant rate. When wear of the dressing diamond occurs, the start of the rapid infeed is adjusted to commence at the worn dressing position 10 by fine adjusting means, the rapid infeed terminating at the same position 8 of grinding infeed so that the zero dimension 7 remains constant.</p> |
