The arrangement is intended for securing the top cover (3) of a refrigerator unit (1,2), or the like, such that it lines up with the work top surface of a kitchen unit. Adjacent to its front (3') and rear (3'') corners, the cover is provided with channels or slots (4,8) parallel to the sides (2) of the unit for slidable engagement by slide shoes (7) and brackets (11,9) fixed to the sides and back (1) of the unit. The brackets are so arranged that tightening the fixing screws (12) clamps the top cover in position. The angle brackets may have a T-shaped head (9) at an angle of less than 90 deg. to its flange (11) with a bore (13) for the fixing screw.
