PURPOSE:To provide the optimal pressure side damping force in accordance with the use condition, by easily varying the opening of orifice, the setting load of spring, factor, etc,. CONSTITUTION:When the pressure side is functioning, the volume of an oil chamber B will decrease as the lowering of a piston 3, thereby the oil corresponding with intruded inner tube 2 will flow into an oil chamber C. Here in the region where the piston speed is low, the operating oil will flow through only an orifice 7A of a cylinder section 7 to produce the damping function due to the orifice throttle. When the piston speed is increased, a valve 20 is returned at the time point where it will overcome the load of a spring 21 to start the flowing through a valve hole 8A, while after opening of the valve 20 the damping function due to the spring 21 is applied. In such a manner the pressure side damping force due to the orifice 7A then due to a damping valve 5 (20) will be generated, and said damping characteristic can be freely varied by varying the position of an adjusting rod 12 and adjusting the initial load of the spring 21. |
