The guide can be flat or curved to suit the plan shape of the wall and has two identical U shaped profiles (5,6) which can be displaced between vertical risers (3). The guides form a backrest against which a course of bricks or breeze blocks (9) can be placed. The guides are maintained parallel by the vertical bracing (6). The guides are clamped (7) to the steel risers (3), the latter being braced between the ground (1) and the ceiling (4), any required adjustment being taken up by the screw feet (4).
