Housing units welded on the inside provide for insertion, screwing and clamping of hinge flaps in slits in the case (1), in fixing such flaps on cases for doors, or other closing units. Each housing unit (2) comprises an outer part (3), and an inner part (4) swivelling about an axis (a-a) parallel to the hinge pin, with the nut (8) for the fixing screw (9) attached to it. The side (15) of the outer part away from the case slot (11) has a semi-circular recess containing a rotatable, axially immovable adjusting screw (19), effectively in contact with the inner part's adjoining side (17), for wormgear type action. This permits easy adjustment of the door gap.
