Baled straw preparation system for furnace - parts off smaller portions of suitable size for combustion

The system prepares baled straw for burning in a furnace, parting off a smaller portion from the main bale, of suitable size for combustion, and which is then delivered to the furnace. The smaller portion can be maintained at the same density as the main bale as it is so delivered. Wedge-shaped parting tools can be used, clear of and working in synchronism with guides and with a track into which driving dogs protrude, transporting the straw to the furnace. The tools can rock about a centre being rigidly secured to the guides, which can be bar-shaped.
