<p>The Parent Patent described a method for the determination of lightweight substances, contained in effluents in separable emulsified or dissolved form,in which a float analysis in the laboratory separates the lightweight products which are then subdivided by solvent extraction. In the new method, the solvent extraction operations are carried out immediately after the samples have been taken on site. Only the extracts produced are transported to the laboratory for solvent extraction to determine the emulsified and/or dissolved amount. The extracts cannot change their compsn.during transit so that even long distances from site to laboratory or long waiting times cannot falsify the results.</p> |
