PURPOSE:To enable easy detection of the relative position by computing distances between a transmitter-receiver and an object and also a receiver and the object from the sound wave receiving time of the transmitter-receiver and the receiver, and also detecting the depth of the object from the transmitter-receiver and an angle to the object away from a vertical line. CONSTITUTION:Sound waves of a definite frequency and a difinite pulse width are transmitted at a definite interval from the transmitter-receiver 2. The sound waves transmitted from the transmitter 2 are received by a transponder 4, then converted in frequency and sent back, and received by transmitter-receiver 2 and the receiver 3. A signal processor 5 computes a distance between the transmitter-receiver 2 and the transponder 4 and also computes the depth of the transponder 4 to the transmitter-receiver 2 and an angle to the transponder 4 away from a vertical line. |
