PURPOSE:To remove distortion caused by a time factor in a scattering spectrum by employing a neutron source which generates pulse-form neutron having an appropriate property and further by arranging the device of each part pertinently. CONSTITUTION:The time-of-flight spectroscope for neutron semielastic scattering is comstituted by the pulse-form neutron source 3 generating the pulse-form neutron, a crystal-type energy monochromating device 8 and a neutron detector 10. A sample 6 for neutron scattering is arranged between the pulse-form neutron source 3 and the crystal-type energy monochromating device 8 and the course between them is communicated by the flight route of neutron. The neutron applied to the sample 6 is radiated to the energy monochromating device 8 and thereby the one with specific energy alone is taken out and measured as the scattering neutral spectrum 9 by the neutron detector 10. |
