The controller controls an air conveyor and a cooling system with compressor and cool heat exchanger i.e vaporiser, and a hot heat exchanger. The temp. of the vaporiser is measured by a sensor (17) and controlled according to the deviation of the temp. sensor output (5) from the magnitude of the set value (6). The set value is produced by a reference generator comprising several separately adjustable potentiometers. An electrically operated coupling (26) connects and disconnects the compressor (25) to and from the vehicle engine. The air flowing through the vaporiser can be switched from fresh air to circulating air by a guide flap (27) operated electrically.
