发明名称 Cooling plate for blast furnace or similar plant - where iron is cast round uncoated pipes made of iron nickel chromium alloy so good heat transfer is obtd.
摘要
Metal pipes, which will be used for the circulation of a coolant, are laid in a mould filled with molten iron so pipes are embedded in a cast iron plate. Pipes possess no surface coating, so they are in direct contact with the cast iron; but no metallurgical reactions occur between the pipes and the iron to impair mechanical strength or heat transfer from the plate to the coolant circulating in the pipes, when the plate is mounted on a furnace. Pipes are pref. made of an alloy contg. 30-63% Ni; and cooling air is pref. fed through the pipes during and/or after the casting of the iron round the pipes to make the plate. Metal pipes cast into cooling plates are normally coated to prevent reactions between the pipes and the cast iron; but the coating impairs heat transfer. The invention employs uncoated pipes (3) so heat transfer from the plates to a coolant is improved.
