The bed cover (1) consists of two layers (3,4) of unequal length which are connected along three sides (6-8) whilst the fourth side (9) of the shorter layer (3) leaves an opening for insertion of a blanket (2). The projecting portion of the longer layer (4) together with the projecting portion (5) of the blanket can be folded back on to the shorter top layer (3). The upper surface of the shorter layer may have one or more strips (15) of self-attaching hook pile fasteners for engagement by corresponding strips (16) arranged on the blanket, pref. along the end (17).
