PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacturing process of a color cathode-ray tube by cleaning and assembling the shadow mask parts formed through press then performing thermal processing in oxidation ambient to produce a complete shadow mask. CONSTITUTION:A spring clip 4 cleaned after press and welded is combined with a frame 3 which has been cleaned after press and are welded. Thereafter a pressed shadow mask 2 is cleaned and welded in combination with the frame. Then it is thermally processed in oxidation ambient under 400-500 deg.C to produce a complete shadow mask 1 and enter into fluorescent film coating process. The formation of a blackened film 6 and the removal of welding distortion are performed simultaneously to simplify the process, while since the welding/assembling is performed prior to the formation of the blackening film the production of welding splash and the peeling of the blackening film are prevented. |
