The base frame of the horse trailer is built up from light alloy struts mutually connected. The struts consist of a box section (2) with flange extensions (3) and (4) integrated with the box section at right angle. The thickness of the flanges (3) and (4) is greater than the thickness of the box section walls. The side wall (5) rests on the horizontal surface (7) of the box section and the inner surface (8) of the side wall (5) is flush with the inner vertical surface of the box section (2). In similar way the top surface of the floor board (6) resting on flange (4) is flush with the upper horizontal surface of box wall (7).
