<p>A press. regulator, esp. for a compressed air reservoir supplied via a non-return valve from a compressor, has a first piston (35) acted upon by the reservoir press. and limiting a first chamber (33). A second piston (21) operating the outlet valve is affected by the first piston and limits a second chamber (23). When the cut-off pressure is reached the inlet is connected to the outlet valve. A valve supplies or releases air to or from the first chamber according to the first piston displacement. The pressure switching process is more accurately achieved than in similar arrangements. The components are more compactly arranged. The two pistons are connected by a hollow shaft which provides a passage between the chambers when relative piston displacement occurs.</p> |
