<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture a locking nut of high precision by fitting a prescribed nut around a gauge provided with a male screw having a diameter a little bit smaller than the male-screw diameter than a used bolt and by applying clamping force to this nut from the external face. CONSTITUTION:Male-screw gauge 2 with male screw 2a whose diameter is made a little bit smaller than the male screw diameter of a bolt to be screwed is implanted in proper base 3. Prescribed nut 1 is fitted around gauge 2. Then, tip side 1b of nut 1 is applied with pressure externally by pressing body 4 to provide plastic deformation 1' so that the internal circumference surface of tip side 1b will be noncircular. Thus, the locking nut is formed. Additionally, gauge 2 may be made nearly equal in diameter to the used bolt while its tip is tapered gradually.</p> |
