PURPOSE:To promptly operate electromagnets by utilizing a high voltage generating transiently when an inductor current is cut off. CONSTITUTION:When operating an electromagnet 1-1, firstly, a switch 9-1 is closed several ms earlier than the time for the electromagnet 1-1 operation to flow a rated holding current into the electromagnet 1-1 at the time of the electromagnet 1-1 operation. With a switch 5-1 closed and a closed switch 3 opened, the current flowed in an inductor 2 will be cut off and a transient current caused by the above process will flow into the electromagnet 1-1 for quick operation. Immediately after operating the electromagnet 1-1, the switch 3 is closed and the switch 5-1 is opened. Then, the electromagnet 1-1 is held by the holding current flowing through the switch 9-1. Even if a switch 9-2 is closed to hold the next operation of other electromagnets, for example, an electromagnet 1-2, during the above-mentioned operation, a transient current will not flow into the electromagnet 1-2. In this way, a selected electromagnet will promptly be operated. |
