PURPOSE:To avoid concentration of the stress at a hook fixing part and to improve a fixing strength, by a method wherein a counterweight fixing hook is monolithically united with a component member, such as brackets, fixed at an upper surface of a side frame. CONSTITUTION:A rear pillar fixing bracket 3 of an overhead guard and a counterweight fixing hook 4, which is monolithically united with a fixing bracket 15 for a top cover 12 and a rear engine hood 13, are placed on an upper surface 1 of a side frame, and a whole periphery is welded after they are positioned. An approximate forward end, of so formed counterweight fixing hook 4, where a maximum stress of the hook 4 is generated, is combined with a reinforcing member of the rear pillar fixing bracket 3 of the overhead guard, whereby a welding area of the side frame is increased, and a large input by the weight of the counterweight is smoothly dispersed to the side frame without causing concentration of the stress at the root of the hook 4. |
