The support and connecting elements are intended for banks of tanks. The individual containers, consisting of thermoplastic material, are fitted on the outside with surrounding, multi-section binding strips which can be applied after positioning. Two adjoining, separate containers are connectable to each other by straps fitted by bolts to the binding strips, as in 2154274. The binding strip sections, formed as flat irons (15), are fitted with depressions (24) which are insertable into the ends of tubular strip sections (14). The depressions are fitted each with a bore (25), through which can pass a screw bolt. (DS).
