Automatic target tracking scanning and display battery - compares image with previously stored image with vulnerability characteristics esp. for anti-aircraft

The anti-aircraft battery provides increased efficiency of hitting the target using automatic target tracking and target scanning. It produces a target display which is compared with a stored pulse image of the target via a correlation circuit. The output voltage of the circuit is used to control the firing weapon. The scanned target image is also compared with another previously stored image of the target. This image is produced with marked vulnerability characteristics of the target. The optical receiving system (2a) feeds a static ray unit (61). The output is fed to a store (62) which is scanned for faults (63).
