The track consists of prefabricated sections of concrete having an L-shaped cross-section and laid in a polygonal manner to attain the wanted curvature of a bend. The vertical limb of the L -- ie the lateral guiding limb -- is coated with concrete of varying thickness. Sensors on the vehicle move along the face of the coating (3) to keep the vehicle exactly on the wanted curvature. The coating's curve follows the wanted curve of the bend. The smooth curves are fabricated from prefabricated sections having straight contours.
