PURPOSE:To make it possible to realize a system of large processing capacity and excellent cost performance while improving the efficiency of utilization of a data channel device by performing the signal processing of a channel system by the data channel device. CONSTITUTION:Commands from central controller CC are received and analyzed by interface circuit 30 to actuate channel-system signal processing part 31 or input- output-system processing part 32. With the signal processing start command, channel-system signal processing part 31 is actuated and central controller CC uses control information set in main memory unit MM to supervise and control various channel controllers. This processing is performed at constant intervals, but if the input-output command is sent out of central controller CC during this period or if the transfer request is sent from random input-output controller IOC, input-output processing part 32 is actuated, so that while channel-system processing part 31 is interrupted, data transfer processing will be carried out. |
