A jack plug connector of the type used in stereo systems is designed to provide high cross talk attenuation. The plug has a cylindrical body produced of an insulating material into which are set four outer contacts (3) of a rectangular cross section and with solder tabs (3a) on the projecting end. The internal contact is provided by two strip sections (10a) that are formed into semi circular end sections (7a). The top ends of the strips (9a) are formed into L-sections such that, when formed, a cruciform section is obtained.
