The clock face has several simultaneous time display elements, with the face and the conversion drive for the display elements coupled together via a central shaft carrying the clock hands to form a free-standing mechanism. This can be driven by corresp. dimensional clock mechanisms of various types coupled to it directly or indirectly. Pref.the clock face has overlapping circular discs rotating relative to one another indicating the lunar cycle with a pictorial representation of the earth at the centre of the watch face.
