<p>The ram has a mechanical locking device for the piston in the end position, and a valve controlling supply and discharge of the working medium mounted at a remote point, this valve also controlling the locking device. The device comprises a locking member (62) spring-loaded (54) into the engaged position, and released by a second pressure-operated piston (48). The member can be a bolt forming a double-armed lever, tilting by means of a spherical portion in a bearing ring (57). In the engaged position one bolt end bears against the chamfered end of a spring-loaded sleeve (52), while its other end fits in a recess in a slide (61) forming the locking member proper. The latter acts against a shoulder on the ram piston.</p> |
