The arrangement is for windows and doors which have rotating and tilting panels and ensures that the moving frame is correctly aligned to the fixed frame for closing purposes. The mechanism is arranged into a horizontal or verticall frame edge to act in conjunction with a horizontal or vertical locking rod or with a horizontal or vertical part of the support arm used for holding the rotating tilting frame in the open position. The aligning element is a conical roller which acts in conjunction with the locking rod and the support arm. The conical roller is mounted on a support bracket which is fastened by the bolt on the rotating frame. The conical roller is able to rotate about a vertical axis on its pivoting pin. The support arm is used for limiting the tilting position of the moving frame. The locking rod couples the support arm with the moving frame so that the pivoting arm of the supporting arm is able to rotate about the horizontal axis.
