<p>Four reservoirs are attached magnetically to the underside of a motor car body which has been raised on a lift assembly. Each reservoir comprises a transparent tube, whose lower end is closed by a ferrule, on a flexible tube. The upper end is closed by a cover fixed to a shaft which is terminated by a metallic head. The flexible tubes terminate to gauges mounted in pairs and separated by a graduated scale. The gauge assembly is mounted on a wall and the lift is raised slightly above that level. The gauges enable the differences to be obtained to signal any deformation. The conception of the reservoirs allows them to be moved to places other than those intended by the manufacturer and enables local deformation to be located with great precision.</p> |
