The handler consists of a feed tray (20) supplied with open packs (1) and fitted with side guides (21). The packs are picked off by a handling arm assembly (30). This consists of a horizontal beam (31) pivoted about an axis (32). The beam carries two vacuum pads (311) which transfer the packs from the tray (20) to the chute (40). The pack is also supported by the tray (321) and held by a stop (332) at the top. The stop is on the end of a gantry (333) and is actuated by a jack (334).
