<p>An apparatus for detecting lateral deviations of a bandsaw blade has a follower which is in contact with and follows lateral movement of the blade. A sensing circuit, which is connected to the follower, generates deviation signals representing movement of the follower. A control circuit which is responsive to the deviation signals stops the bandsaw when the lateral movement of the blade has deviated beyond established limits.</p> |
