<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate a discharge of water such as rain out of a casing of an air cleaner by providing a drain valve on the bottom of the casing which permits only the flow out of water. CONSTITUTION:A recessed portion 47 is formed in the bottom of a casing body 20 of an air cleaner. The recessed portion 47 includes a step 49 into which is inserted a sealing member 53 of a synthetic resin or the like having an annular core metal 52. Between the sealing member 53 and an annular wall 50 having an opening 48 is interposed a sealing plate 54 through a coil spring 55, constituting a drain valve 46 as a whole. The sealing plate 54 is adapted to move downwardly when a predetermined amount of water is pooled in the recessed portion positioned thereabove. The sealing plate 54 is also capable of opening and closing by the vibration of the engine, thereby performing a constant discharge of water out of the casing of the air cleaner.</p> |
