1283252 Valves JUNKERS & CO GmbH 18 Sept 1969 [25 March 1969] 45948/69 Heading F2V A gas regulating device includes a valve 11 actuated by a cam mechanism 14 and a knob 15, and a safety valve 12 located downstream of the valve 11 and actuated by a diaphragm in a water deficiency safety device 13, a stem 21 of the valve 12 crossing a stem 112 of the valve 11 by means of a fork-shaped portion 213, the portion 213 being connected to the valve 12 by an attachment portion 215 via a frusto-conical shoulder (216), Fig. 2 (not shown), the portion 215 having less clearance in a gas passage 104 than the portion 213. The arrangement provides that, when a water tap 20 is turned on, and the valve 12 is moved off its seat by water pressure acting on the underside of the diaphragm in the device 13, the valve 11 having first been opened, initially only a restricted flow of gas is allowed by the clearance around the portion 215, until this portion clears the seat, Fig. 4.
