The flat cable has its conductors divided into two groups. The conductors in each group lead to a corresponding group of contact points and they run alternately above and below a foil between the groups of contact points. The conductors are connected through the foil at the contact points. The groups of contact points belonging to each group of conductors are located alternately on the left and right tape of the foil. The cable tape is folded so that all contact point regions lie on one side of the cable tape where they are accessible for connecting to a connector. The two groups of conductors run alternately on the top and bottom sides of the foil and their contact point groups are on opposite sides of the foil.
