<p>A slide fastener having woven stringer tapes and woven-in plastics monofilament teeth produced during weaving, the stringer tapes being woven from ground warp yarns and adjacent double wefts of a continuous ground weft yarn, each tape having an associated tooth row and each tooth row being in the form of a plastics monofilament double weft, individual teeth of each row having a top arm and a bottom arm which in a projection on the fastener plane are disposed substantially one above another, the teeth having coupling heads and rear connecting parts securing warp yarns which are offset from one another lengthwise of the fastener relatively to the pick of the weft engaging over the tooth rows to secure the same to the stringer tapes, some double wefts of the ground weft yarns being disposed between adjacent teeth and other such double wefts being disposed in separate ground warp yarn pockets of the stringer tape under the teeth, characterised in that the double wefts of the ground weft yarns between adjacent teeth are drawn up by at least one securing warp yarn above the plane of the stringer tapes between adjacent teeth.</p> |
