PURPOSE:To efficiently provide a highly bright plated body having excellent adhesiveness and heat resistance by a method wherein a coated layer is formed on the metallic surface by coating a special resin liquid and irradiating ionizing radiation beam, and then a solidified layer of a thermosetting resin liquid is formed and a vacuum deposition is performed. CONSTITUTION:A primer coated layer is formed on the metallic surface by coating the resin liquid having at least one unsaturated group in the molecule (e.g. polymer contg. phosphorus) and solidifying with irradiation of ionizable radiation beam, or active energy of electromagnetic wave, or ultraviolet ray, etc. On its surface, a thermosetting resin is coated, heated, and solidified to form a base coated layer. Using the vacuum deposition, or sputtering process, layers plated with a metal such as Al, Cr, Ni is formed on the base coated layer. In this manner, a highly bright, heat-resistant metal plated body suited to reflector for automobile headlight is provided. |
