The baking oven has a chamber closed by a hinged door (4), the latter extended by a lever (7) beyond the hinge. To this lever is attached the piston rod (9) of a ram, the piston (11) of which contains a medium under pressure, and is hinged at a point near the rear of the oven. The piston rod can be detachable from the lever when the door is open, and can work in a guide, both being accommodated in a space (8) below the base (5) of the oven chamber and above the oven support plate (6). The design combines simplicity with the possibility of securing the door in any desired angular position.
