CRT flyback generator circuit - has bootstrap capacitor and diode connected to switching transistor with protective resistance

The flyback generator (4) for a CRT, is connected to a preamplifier (1) by a push-pull circuit (2) which is connected by a capacitor (5) with the deflection components (6), and the sawtooth waveform generator. Connected to the junction point (A) of the push-pull circuit with the capacitor is a load resistance (8) of the flyback generator. This is in series with a load diode (9) with its cathode connected to the emitter of the flyback generator transistor (10). The emitter is also connected to a bootstrap capacitor (12). The base connection of this transistor is connected to a protective resistance (11) connected at its other end to the junction between the bootstrap capacitor and diode. In one design, an integrated circuit occupying the position of the push-pull amplifier can be a conventional low frequency amplifier used in radio equipment.
