NEW MATERIAL:A new strain Trichosporon kashiwayama (FERM P-4821) which has the following properties: (a) the cell incubated aerobically or anaerobically is rectangular or oval, has an arthrospore but no conidiophore, and forms an aroma from a mutrient source in the culture medium; (b) optimum growth pH4.0-6.0, optimum growth temperature 20-30 deg.C; (c) sometimes identified as a species of the genus Geotrichum or as a species of the genus Endomycopsis, and a culture or a culture fluid of said strain, or a fluid after removal of the microbial cell, sterile filtrate or supernatant liquid or concentrate or dried substance thereof. USE:A cream for the skin in common use or a medical treating agent for the skin used in an ointment base having a protecting action on the skin. PROCESS:A new strain Trichosporon kaskiwayama is incubated at a pH of 4.0-6.0 and 20-30 deg.C to give said culture etc. |
