PURPOSE:To prevent stripping of film by providing surface protecting layers constituted of two layers, i.e. a resin layer on the surface of a photosensitive body and an outermost layer comprising an amorphous hydrocarbon film (a-C film) formed by the glow discharge plasma polymn. process on the resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer 2, and surface protecting layers 4 constituted of a resin layer 1b and an outermost layer la comprising an amorphous hydrocarbon film (a-C film) are built in layers successively on an electroductive substrate 3. The electroconductive substrate 3 may be constituted of any material having an electroconductive outermost surface, and the shape may be cylindrical, flexible belt, or flat plate, etc., optionally. The photosensitive layer 2 is a single Se/As layer or an Se layer plus Se/Te alloy layer laminated successively on the substrate 3. The resin layer lb contributes to improve the adhesion of the electro-conductive substrate 3 to the a-C film. A thermoplastic resin, a thermosetting resin, or a photosetting resin, etc., may be useful for the material of the resin layer 1b. By this constitution, superior resistance to stripping and superior durability are obtd. |
