<p>The pushbutton switch comprises a plastics material pushbutton axially slidable in a metal cylindrical body (3) securable, for example, to the metal of a can to serve as one switch terminal. The pushbutton is slidable into the body against a coaxially surrounding coil spring (5) abutting a shoulder (6) on the button and a flange at the open base of the body. The inner end of the button is axially slotted for resilience and carries on one limb formed by the slot a metal contact (13) which slidably contacts the body when the button is released. A hook (12) on the opposite limb engages the body flange to prevent the spring expelling the button.</p> |
