The gasification plant of coal into methane comprises a hydrogenation gasifier (3), a vapour gasifier (4) of a conversion (9) and fractionation (12) device. The coal is first introduced into the hydrogenation gasifier and then into the vapour gasifier in which the complete gasification takes place. The gas produced is then supplied continuously to the hydrogenation gasifier: to obtain a better gasification, the high partial pressure in the gas current will be adjusted so that the hydrogen provided from the operation may be returned to the hydrogenation gasifier. A number of different possibilities are proposed for a combination of such a plant with a nuclear reactor (13) which, with a view to saving coal, will provide the heat necessary for carrying out the process for example by supplying the vapour necessary for the gasification of the vapour. |
