The hook fastening for the two ends of a belt (1) of flexible material, such as a belt for going round the body, or one limb, incorporates crosswise pockets at one end. The other end of the belt (1) has a hook comprising a first plate (2) with a bent back end (6). The bent-back end fits underneath the crosswise edge of a second plate (3) placed flat on the belt (1). The second plate has a curved extension separated into two protuberances (12,13) with the gap between them equal in width to that separating two adjacent pockets on the belt (1). The crosswise edge of the second plate (3) has a notch (8) equal in length to the width of the hook (6).
