PURPOSE:To lower the electrolytic voltage and to improve the chlorine resistance and alkali resistance, by cnstituting the anode by the pyrochlore type composite oxide having a fixed formula. CONSTITUTION:Fluorine-containing cation exchange membrance composed of copolymer of fluorinated olefin monomer having 20-500mu (especially 40-400mu) gas and liquid permeable thickness and polymeric fluorine-containing monomer containing carboxylic acid radical or functional group being capable of converting into carboxylic acid radical, is prepared. Concentration of carboxylic acid per 1g said dry resin, is 0.5-2 milliequivalent. Next, pyrochlore type composite oxide having the general formula I, is pulverized in 200-500 mesh and is pasted by adding the binder of fluorine-containing polymer and surface active agent. And, for example, said pasted oxide is applied on aluminum foil and is heated and pressure welded on the ion exchange membrane. Here, the aluminum foil is dissolved by caustic alkali and is removed and then, porous anode is formed on said ion exchange membrane. |
