ADJUSTING METHOD FOR SENSITIVITY OF PHOTOELECTRIC SMOKE DETECTOR

PURPOSE:To make it easy to regulate the sensitivity of a photoelectric scatteringlight system smoke detector by regulating the sensitivity of the unset detector by using a standard sensitivity regulating body with a reflection coefficient regulated by a reference detector in regulating the sensitivity of the detector. CONSTITUTION:Outside of the direct directivity region where the ray of light of light emission body 11 of the reference sensor crosses a ray of light incident to photodetector 12, reflector 15 is provided and reflector 15 with a reflection coefficient when the detector is turned on is used as a standard sensitivity regulating body while the reflection coefficient of reflector 15 is varied. For the adjustment of unset sensitivity, the standard sensitivity regulating body is interposed at a fixed position and the operation sensitivity of the detector is increased from a low value until the detector turns on and then fixed, finishing the sensitivity adjustment. Therefore, the stable sensitivity regulation can be performed in a short time in comparison with the conventional method by smoke or that using a standard light scattering plate.
