PURPOSE:To selectively perform the optional operation of correct angle positioning or rotary motion at a high speed in accordance with a machining pattern with the equipped electrode, by using a servo head for an electric discharge machining device. CONSTITUTION:In a hollow rotary shaft 9 for performing an angle indexing operation, a rotary shaft 18 for rotation at a high speed is coaxially arranged, and if, for instance, a machining work is performed by using a general electrode, through a mounting tool 16 corresponding to a mounting tool 7 at the bottom end of the hollow rotary shaft 9 the general electrode is mounted to perform its angle indexing operation by a pulse motor 13. At this time, a setting of the general electrode to a head can be performed by an engagement with the mounting tool 7 not rotating at a high speed and its corresponding mounting tool 16, and this causes the engagement to be capable in a higher accurate construction with large dimensions of the mounting tool 7 and the mounting metal 16, in this way a highly accurate angle indexing work and be performed. |
