Mould is filled first with a molten mass of wax of a definite colour. When this has formed a layer, the remainder is poured away, and a wax of a different colour is filled in. When this also has formed a layer the remainder is poured away and the process is repeated until a solid core can be cast and a multi-coloured candle is produced. Materials may be natural or synthetic waxes, stearine, paraffin or mixts. The solid core may be positioned first in the mould allowing room for the other colours. The wick or wicks may be fitted after casting or be in a starting blank. The candles can be produced quickly in a wide variety of geometrical forms and colour arrangements.
|
