<p>The hinges and locks for the upper part of the case are vertically offset. The end hinges are fitted halfway up the case so that the upper part can be folded down to stand horizontally on the ground supported by its handle. The locks are set so far up on the back wall that there is just sufficient hold for their attachment to the upper part of the case. The fold-down upper part can contain a separate container for small instruments, tools etc formed by a horizontal web with a hinged lid. The height of the web arises from the flap radius of the lid which may not project beyond the opening of the case. When the case is closed the lid of the container rests on the upper edge of the back wall so that the case lock also closes the upper part.</p> |
