The plug guide is used to facilitate insertion into the socket, or mains outlet. It can be fastened into a suitable groove of the plug (4), or it can be cast in one piece with the plug housing. The application of the guide (1) obviates touching the socket (2), or outlet openings for the plug pins. The actual insertion takes place by simultaneous rotation and pressure in order to guide the pins. In an alternative form the guide can be fastened or formed on the socket. In both instances it is made of insulating material and provides complete protection, corresponding to the existing safety requirements.
