<p>The jig is for the grinding to shape of the die segments of cutting tools, having a bottom plate (11) of ferromagnetic material with a flat underside, and a top plate (12) with a flat top surface. The plates are mounted clear of and one above the other, and between their faces towards each other are first and second distance pieces (17,18) spaced apart. The first one has two portions of the same dimensions in the vertical direction, spaced apart and parallel to the bottom plate underside, and the second one a single portion of a set dimension in the vertical direction. Each plate has in its face towards the other supporting and lateral guide faces (25,26) for each of the distance pieces, and exerting vertical and horizontal forces in opposite directions. The plates are held together, and an arm (51) swings over the top surface of the top one about an axis (52) at right angles to this surface, having a clamping face (58) for the work, in line or parallel with this axis. Also on the top surface are adjustable stops (63,64) in the path of the arm and on each side of it.</p> |
