<p>The fastener is used for temporary fixings on a hollow surface, comprising a pre-installed flanged (3) and split sleeve (1) which is expanded radially by a nipple stud (2). Conical bore sections (5,6) and axial barrel slits (7) cause radial deflection of the sleeve tip as the bevel nose (11) stud enters, and stud neck (12) with shoulder (13) reciprocates the conical zones. An enlarged stud base (9) has a triangular upstand (14) which locates in a matching sleeve end notch (8). Ramps (15,8) cause the stud to retract axially when rotated, the tongues (T) then dropping into the groove (12,13) to permit total withdrawal of the assembly.</p> |
